R.D. I think people have very short memories. Here in NY in the 80's
most 1 bedroom co-op apts increased 1,000% in price in 7-8 years because the first baby boomers were using this as a platform to buy up. I have a friend who bought a co-op in 86 for $ 106K and they are now going for $ 40K (12 yrs later). Point being, the same way people were burned by RE in the 80's they are going to be burned by equities today. With the Asians I think they feel the US is invunerable, the returns are good and there's nowhere else to put their money. Also, I think a lot of the inflows are from big time foreign money not small ivestors.
