This morning employment report is also reassuring.

Services are up manufacturing are down - my read the economy is cooling, exports are
slowing the dollar will slide.

Those events will impact services unemployment will start going up and if SE Asia
recovers inflation will move up.

All indicators IMHO tell the FED not to raise rates. Stock market will slide as a result
of lower profits but IMHO it is not ready yet.

donald

Since I did not want to play the news this morning, I closed out of both positions
yesterday by selling my 540's for 12.50 and buying back the 530's for 7, which
gave me $5.50 - $.87 = $4.63 profi

If you had not sold the 530 puts, you would have made 12.50-4.75=7.75 whcih is almost double the 4.63 you made by selling the 530 puts.

Is that because you had twice the number of options??

donald,

Thanks you very much for your explanation in detail. It helps a lot!
BTW, could you explain how you catagorize your "CLASS # BUY"? Is there a book or web site I can read about this?
BTW, how do you see DELL's move as far as TA is concerned? It's earnings will be announced on May 19th after market close.
