Only positive if you're Citibank I guess.

One of the reasons the stock market held up so well in Indonesia was that depositors were so scared that the banks would fail that they saw shares as a much safer alternative. Maybe that's not so daft - Paul Krugman said he'd rather own Indonesian equities than US equities. However he followed this up by saying he'd rather own canned pet food that US equities.
