The GigaMux allows for 16 bi-directional channels over a single fibr. So one could assume that it increases bandwidth 1600%. Osicom's unit is fairly unique in that it is bidirectional. Some competeing WDM equipment requires two fibrs to accomplish the same thing. They have also announced that they will introdcue a 32 channel GigaMux later this year.
