"They are all including a free upgrade to 98. That's got to cost a little. If nothing else, it's going to cost bundle in support. I got a Gateway a month before 95 came out and when the upgrade disk came, it didn't recognize 3 devices. Took 3 calls and about 4 hours tech support to get it straight. Needless to say, I'll just wait for the machine to have the OS pre-installed."
Good decision. My wife bought a Thinkpad before IBM got a Win95 license. Got a "free" upgrade a month later. Took about 8 calls to find someone who knew where the dead bodies were and cumulatively maybe 25 hours to get it up and going. Not fun.

Installing Win98 over Win95 is trivial. On a fast machine, shouldn't take more than 45 minutes or so.
