Although they present patterns and the future 'maybe' determined from these patterns...it is only probability. As you say....it alters clear intuition. Eliot Waves are open to numerous interpretations; they are complex and inefficient as well as overwhelming. But alot of money has been made with them and other Fibo systems. Also....for the individual who developed the system....it was their instincts talking to them. Not interpreting another's intuition. Both Gann and Elliot left incomplete instructions. Computers are changing the landscape and the efficiecy is improving. But eventually turned out to be incorrect readings and the moves he suggested turned out to be wrong. But he has an excellant command of wave theories and quickly adjusted.
