it DOESN"T have to be as powerful dodo. the MAC is STILL better than Pcs just ask the macheads. Does that help Apple. look at the chart.

Sun the best solution on Merced...

While one UNIX standard is unlikely to emerge, we're betting that Solaris becomes the predominant UNIX for IA-64. Sun remains the best name in a difficult group.

The migration to Merced could create an incremental opportunity for Sun, if a significant market for UNIX on IA-64 materializes. We continue to rate Sun a Buy.
