Ratan,

Well since you are asking. I think the whole thing is silly and the only way, I mean ONLY, is if TXN practically pays MU to take the DRAM business off of TXN's hands. Let's face it the DRAM portion of TXN's business is less than worthless since they could not compete with SEA let alone MU. Now if they were going to give it away then give it to a USA co maybe with some strings attached.

MU does not pay anything but yet runs the company and splits the agreed profits<g> if there are any. There may be a dollar value attached but it would probably be in the form of a TXN loan to MU with little or no interest.

This has occurred in the past with other companies. Remember NOVL gave Corel Word perfect for a fraction of what was paid and just took Corel stock in exchange and I believe gave them a loan.
