Wow! This is going to drive the sales volume higher in Q3. I think

Apple Computer Online Store Gets $1.9M In Orders In 24-Hours

CUPERTINO, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Apple Computer Inc.'s (AAPL) online Apple Store received a record $1.9 million in orders in 24-hours, driven by sales of its PowerBook G3 notebook computers.

As reported, Apple unveiled the PowerBook G3 series May 6.

In a press release Friday, Apple also said its Store For Education received more than $1 million in orders during its first 24 hours.

For the six months ended March 27, Apple had sales of $2.98 billion.

Apple makes and licenses computers and software.
