I said why should he get a copy before me or you are any one else. That would be unfair to us.

Unfair? How? I think it would be extremely unfair to shareholders if the company goes ahead and sells a product that hasn't been competently evaluated.

The purpose of beta testing is to determine whether the ordinary user finds bugs or has difficulties with aspects of the program. It is not equivalent to an evaluation by a professional.

No one ever said that TED should be the one and only evaluator.
But there was reportedly an arrangement to get TED a copy, why shouldn't that arrangement be honored?
