Jim,

I have read all FQA of WWDC '97 regarding Jobs' stands on the DOJ and
Microsoft issue. He insisted that Microsoft shouldn't have had any
anti-trust problem and provided an example of when he established Apple,
IBM was huge enough to be an monopoly in computer field. However, his
guess in '97 was wrong, Microsoft has fought the anti-trust issue not only with
DOJ, but also with 13 states. I don't know if Jobs still believe
Microsoft has no anti-trust suspect. From the latest news, it seems
DOJ may let Microsoft publish their Win98. Hope Gates thinks
thoroughly for Microsoft's future by promoting alternative OS to
reduce Microsoft's trouble in the future. Same as for Dell, Compaq,
and Gateway 2000, they should chage their sole OS sales policy and
get involved in Apple's world. DEC and Tandem acquired by Compaq is the
best example to explain that it is still seriously skeptical about Wintel's
monopoly status.
