Mohan,

RE: CPQ's profit =0

We left off the 4.5 B that CPQ has to pay the DEC shareholders for the purchase of their shares.

So the costs look something like this:

Buy DEC Shares 4.5
Layoff 1 2.0
Layoff 2 1.3

Total of the big costs 7.8 B

Cash on hand

CPQ 7.0
DEC 2.7

Total Cash on hand 9.7

Cash on hand after the big stuff = 1.9B

The tax loss carry forwards do not help since there is no profit this year.
