PSST, WANT TO MAKE MONEY? I have been keeping close tabs on the different ways SI posters have effected stocks for the past month. One observation stands out above all the others. The more splintered the 'leaders' became the less money all of us make overall. The successes we experienced, and they were truly successes happened when we were all working together. When egos and, yes a plug for Viagra, testosterone got in the way, all of us suffered. Before this eutopia slithered into warring factions,TM's group, with Klaw97's addition, along with Big Dog's and Joe Copia's followers made a formidable investment group. Blame goes to no one player. The web site of Joe's was costly, and no reason for him not to charge, but he did lose alot of followers and thus lost power. The accusations of his old group prebuying before picks were posted, did more to splinter the buyers. The argumentative and insulting slams made by BD were no help either. The picks made by these gentleman have had a great deal going for them, but without the volume, serious appreciation happens only 1 in 5 times. Everyone is so afraid the other group is selling or shorting, they sell for a stick.Smaller, players, with less powerful puters, or slower brokers are afraid to join in, for fear they will get dumped on by their leaders, and the staying power of the buy becomes history. Perhaps over this weekend, instead of 100's of personal or hyping posts, we could use this time to make some suggestions to regain our strength. Everyone says they are here to make $$. Everyone knows that united we will succeed and divided the brokerage houses will be the winners off of our commission, and the MM's off the spread. . We have somehow managed to make enough money in the real world, or we wouldn't be playing here. So why not use out brainpower to come up with some ideas to regain our power??? I posted this once, but feel with what I've suggested, perhaps it is a good idea to repost now: In the fall when you see geese heading south for the winter flying along in the "V" formation, you might be interested in knowing what science has discovered about why they fly that way. It has been learned that as each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own. PEOPLE WHO ARE PART OF A TEAM AND SHARE A COMMON DIRECTION GET WHERE THEYARE GOING QUICKER AND EASIER, BECAUSE THEY ARE TRAVELING ON THE TRUST OFONE ANOTHER. Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go through it alone and quickly gets back intoformation to take advantage of the power of the flock. IF WE HAVE AS MUCH SENSE AS A GOOSE, WE WILL SHARE INFORMATION WITH THOSE WHO ARE HEADED THE SAME WAY WE ARE GOING. When the lead goose gets tired, he rotates back in the wing and another goose takes over. IT PAYS TO SHARE LEADERSHIP AND TAKE TURNS DOING HARD JOBS. The geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep their speed. WORDS OF SUPPORT AND INSPIRATION HELP ENERGIZE THOSE ON THE FRONTLINE, HELPING THEM TO KEEP PACE IN SPITE OF THE DAY-TO-DAY PRESSURES AND FATIGUE. Finally, when a goose gets sick or is wounded by a gunshot and falls out, two geese fall out of the formation and follow the injured one down to help and protect him. They stay with him until he is either able to fly or until he is dead, and then they launch out with another formation to catch up with their group. IF WE HAVE THE SENSE OF A GOOSE, WE WILL STAND BY EACH OTHER WHEN THINGS GET ROUGH. The next time you see a formation of geese, remember: IT IS A REWARD, A CHALLENGE AND A PRIVILEGE to be a contributing member of a TEAM. Fred
