Good news article [bad for shorts] on MU in the San Jose Mercury this morning. Seems that TI is getting out of DRAM, which was mentioned as a positive for Micron. This will increase MU's DRAM market share & could have positive impact on the stock. Article talks about MU "picking up TI's assets on the cheap". Doesn't look like the market is reacting too favorably to the news however...

MU:

vol was weak today. Less than yesterday's down move. Vol has been weak ever since it got above 30. I don't think it is going anywhere, but will keep an eye on it. Lots of nervous shorts out there.

There was a rumor reported in a small Cal newspaper that MU was thinking of buying TXN's DRAM facilities (probably put out by someone wishing to exit MU) I think it would be bad for mU anyway. they have no $$, and further dilution of shares is not great. If the mkt percieves this as a positive, and this was all the rally we could muster on a day when the NASCRAP was up almost 30. Looks like panicing short in covering. What's the call on the technical stuff?

BTW:
wish you would have shorted CCI at 149 intraday.... CCI closed DOWN 1 to 146 :)
