Letter to shareholders? Never received it.

On the other hand, Lenox Leaf 3 is out.

1. Lenox tooled unspecified components for a racing-car company. One such component "has been credited with winning a race."

2. Lenox exhibited VESTALLOY at the Detroit SEMA show and took orders for "floor mat ... and facia molds."

3. Lenox is delivering polyurethane polyol resins to a "leading manufacturer" that has previously introduced new ways to produce items.

4. Lenox installed a 300-pound reactor in Port Huron, which along with the existing 500-pound reactor means that the firm can now produce 36,000 pounds of resin a day.

5. For "employees of prospective customers," Lenox plans to conduct a several-day Vestalloy tooling course, the curriculum for which "is now under development."

6. Channel 4, NBC, featured InstsTrac, which is "sold by mass merchandisers such as WALMART." (Ben wonders in what locality this article appeared and whether WALMART is still carrying the product.)

7. To meet the need for a low-cost fiberglass material that can be processed at low pressures, Owens Corning developed Sheet Molding Compound (SMC), and Lenox is building tools for this. The intent is for a short analysis period and for Owens Corning to recommend the tooling system to its many SMC customers. "OWENS CORNING sources have expressed the opinion that the success of VESTALLOY will cause a large-scale expansion of SMC applications in a number of industries."

8. Lenox tools are still producing parts after a year. (Ben infers that some some of the same tools are in service.) There are "increasing sales for Lenox proprietary tooling system."

9. "An independent sales team is being established" that will use sales literature based on newly generated "data and information." The team "will launch an aggressive sales campaign."

10. In cooperation with MODERN PLASTICS, Lenox is building a Vestalloy blow molding tool to mold an automotive rear deck spoiler. The 43 manufacturers that produce spoilers are likely to want the tool because its price ($15,000) makes sensible their investment, and they have many styles to produce. "According to MODERN PLASTICS, the success of the blow molding tool will create multiple orders for spoiler tools as well as turn MODERN PLASTICS into a strong sales force promoting VESTALLOY tools for other industries."
