To all ASND longs and shorts: here are some fundamental data about ASND. As you can see, the current P/E(trailing P/E or forward P/E) is close to the low end of the historical range. And better yet, the analysts are quietly increase their forward earning estimate.

Huh? Are we talking about the same stock? Are you talking about "diluted" earnings?

More fun facts: According to the SI profile, the EPS for current shares are as follows:

                 EPS Now
Total Total/203.2 EPS then
3/98 52.4 .258 .258 |
12/97 47.6 .234 .24 |6/97-3/98: 1.00
9/97 40.1 .200 .20 ||
6/97 62.4 .307 .31 || total eps
3/97 35.1 .173 .31 |12/96 -9/97: 0.88
12/96 41.1 .202 .32 |

Trailing growth rate of earnings (excluding 111.3 million acquisition charges): 24%
Outstanding shares after the Cascade acquisition,
1 year ago: 185 Million
today: 203.2 Million

Trailing dilution/year: 7.5%

Did you get a 7.5% share dividend in the mail?

If past performance can be sustained and at some point we revert
to a generous PE of 1.15*25 = 29 (x trailing) then at some point in two years the price will be ...

29. * 0.999 * (1.15 * 1.15) = 38 (5/9/2000)

If options are only granted so as to increase the share amount by
3.% then the fully valued price could be $46. in the year 2000.
