DELL and CSCO Merger?

IMHO, that is a terrible idea! Dell has thrived by being able to switch suppliers of components as technology and prices change. What such a merger would represent is the old IBM model where you build everything in-house. That model doesn't work any more. Dell is the new model. If the regress, I'll sell in a heart-beat.

i,

I don't think that there is a 'big enough' continuing market to generate the kind of revenue that DELL generates by staying in the PC arena. I think that the technology development costs are not what DELL really needs to get into. I think the ROI would be out of whack! I think CPQ, IBM, HWP and others would LOVE it if DELL fell down this pit.

JMHO
