every team has a manager.And the manager wants the team to win. I think you are missing the well intended spirit of Fred's note which he obviously put a lot of time, thought, and wisdom in. Fred wasn't saying he wanted to be the manager ( nor did you say he said that)...but reread his note again.. it comes from a position of peace and good intention and the desire to help everyone. It is not a selfish note and it was brave of him to post it.
There are always people ready to criticize(and I am NOT criticizing you)...but if you truly ponder his note you will see it is wise.
