Jeff,
To help you understand, Jeff, I will continue my story. After 5 years of litigation which also included a stockholder revolt, takeover of the company by the shareholders and a Chapter 11 filing , the company slowly began to reorganize, seek additional funding and turned a small profit..Ultimately,15 years after the start up phase This company has merged with another and will try for a new IPO. I still hold the original stock which at the time I left was worthless but which now looks like it will be exchanged for stock in the new venture so perhaps it.has a future. Talk about going long (15 years)!, I had no choice.
On March 23, I did not hold ALYD as I have stated. I was considering purchasing which I did expecting more from the earnings report. It was my mistake and though it was a disappointment it was not a fatality. BTW I sold CSGI at the same time today and put it in TAVA also.
Since you are an IRA (or other long term) investor, this will likely pay off for you but I think their may be some turbulent times ahead unless some control can be wrested from the Gruder Grip and more level heads prevail. Perhaps this is in the stars...One can hope.
Finally, I have no inside knowledge of ALYD that gives me a Scoop. But I can recognize the signs of aberrant behavior when they present them selves. I suspect that under Gruder there are some highly competent Managers who have kept it moving in the right direction so far...may they continue to do so! Here is the key phrase. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION! and I never short stocks at all.

Good Luck!
