MH,

Re:I currently own zero shares in AMAT. Great company, but am still waiting for some clearer direction.

So is everybody else! Anyone who was a holder throughout the last downturn remembers the CC call in Nov when the stock gapped up 8 points from 30 to 38 and continued its skyward run over the coming months. At that time, there was no clear picture and the people who were waiting for one hopefully found gains somewhere else since they sure missed out with AMAT. Any resolution to the SEA mess or indication of firming capex spending and AMAT will gap higher again. The whole point of investing is to buy at points of maximum pessimism. Read the posts on this board! There are very few people who are bullish on AMAT at the present.

BTW, the kid posted that the Street was bullish on AMAT b/c of the # of Buys on the stock. What matters is the # of Strong Buys. A Buy is tantamount to a Hold and a Hold means Get the He** out.

Regards,

Brian
