Adrian , re. K6-300 will be main stream product
only for a very short timespan , since over half the output of Fab25
will be K6-2 in the second half of this year . This means that the mainstream product in Q3 + Q4 should be K6-2 300mhz or higher ,
It also means that Intel has one less weapon in its price pressuring arsenal . It no longer has that 2 pronged attack of Pentium mmx and PII , since Celeron it too slow to pressure even K6 classic . Their only weapon right now is the ability to stay ahead on the clock speed but even this will be restricted since K6-2 will give superior
performance at the same clock speed .
