yeah sorry, "shot down the MiGs" - read about it in The Right Stuff by T. Wolfe (is it TOM wolfe? - it's not the "look-homeward-angel" Tom Wolfe, the other one in beige tuxedoes). It's story about Gus Grissom of Apollo fame.

The closest I got to Nam was in the cinema, watching Hair. The flag-rasing Dude is TG as far as I remember. My respect anyways to all who had to do anything with any war. They could teach us things I suppose.
