Maybe I can tell us about Airbus? All I can tell is about my own experience. I don't fly so much - about 10-15 times a year. However, I have a better feeling when I find me in a Boeing. (not too old, if possible, and flown by an old captain with German accent.) Why "old" captain? I had a few "interesting" landings with young pilots. I'd prefer that they make their first skills without me. Why "German" captain? Probably they was not fighting in young years - that give me hope that they aren't drunk. And "German" - in my usual trips - means not "Espanol". What about Airbus? They have a very bothering vibration when they rise, loud engines (from inside!) and so frequently a VERY bad pressure-compensation that I fear, it's the equipement and not the board-engeneer. When I had a cold, I sometimes wished I was dead. Serious? As you know, AIRBUS is a conglomerate of several national companies. I don't like military-companies like Boeing. That's not safe for me as enduser. But this AIRBUS-mixture? Even worse, when you ask me. I think, earlier or later they MUST integrate the parts of Airbus to a stand-alone-company. When they achieve this soon, they will be stronger than Boeing (IMHO). European technology is mostly better - but only whithout handycaps. If this doesn't happen, or late, we have a problem - and I truly hope I mustn't fly anymore when Boeing is nearly alone on this sector. So I keep my Boeing-calls on middle heat and wait if they can come out of their growing-problems. I only can win - the loss is still realized. Actually, I'm considering to ADD some BA-calls (the longer, the safer), they seem to me beeing relative cheap. Have always good wind from your favorite side! Jury Jury
