Great finding!

Yes, that's board that I have been awaiting to upgrade our office server with an .25u M2-250Mhz. The extra-fast M2 memory subsystems coupling the 100Mhz 2MB L2 cache will make the FASTEST server whenever cache hit succeeds.

I also expect that a K6-300 with such a 100Mhz board with 2MB L2 cache will offer user noticeable system advantage over PII-300. Now, I got the picture why Intel just dropped another $100 from their overheat PII-300 today.

The poor PII users are limited to the tiny 512K L2 cache. Even worse, the inferior PPro cache logic stalls the system when a cache misses or speculation fails.
