Guys, check out this link. Click on "Miyamoto and the Future of Video Games".
Miyamota is the idea man behind many of Nintendo's more successful games.
He believes in the not too distant future that software will be purchased via satellite. next-generation.com

Q: What kind of changes will occur to the game industry in the near future?

Shigeru Miyamoto: If I say too much then I'll reveal Nintendo's strategy (laughs)! It's difficult to know whether or not it will come true, but I think that normal distribution channels will be replaced by a network.

Q: Meaning that you'd purchase software via satellite?

Miyamoto: Yes. You'll be able to purchase them in your own home. it will be transmitted over a telephone circuit by an ISDNish motherboard. There will most probably be a fee for each use. Five or six years ago this type of idea would have only been a dream, but it will be realized.

Anyone see where Wave could fit in this sort of picture? (g) Surfs up.

Jas,

If WAVE is included in this announcement Monday, we are going to explode. It's funny that the last trade on Friday was a buy for 37,000 shares. This article and the one Wildman posted on Nintendo makes me want to believe that we are even closer than expected to being the standard. Everything points to waves technology. GO WAVX!!!
