Roger,

Referring to your earlier comment about Peoplesoft, I can confirm that Oracle has recently released an NCA version of its Oracle Applications software, and it can be deployed on a LAN or WAN environment with a thin client like the NC without Winframe, i.e. they too have developed software that avoids Winframe.

In fact, Oracle claims that its NCA is superior to the Winframe alternative.
