Ariosto, I agree with your "floppy" concerns. This may very well be the correct technological move for Apple,I don't know. I am one of those 1st&2cd potential internet PC consumers Apple is targeting with the IMAC. I am impressed by what I've heard so far. However,being extremely limited in PC experience and having downloaded my netscape onto windows 95 "with a floppy disc", I would not have known outside this thread that there would be another way to do so. My access provider sent me a floppy and I used it. Without this thread, I would have assumed that IMAC,without a floppy drive, was not for me. I admit I am ignorant compared to other thread participants here. But, so will 99% of 1st time PC users be less talented. Considering what the market of the IMAC is for, I still believe this to be a marketing mistake. As many have said, Apple's other products are for this crowd. If Apple is going to remain aloof and,yes,arrogant as they became in to the 90s,then this technological promise will evaporate their revenue stream from it. Remember, IMAC consumers are to be folks like me, who have NEVER operated an Apple machine and have a notion that Apple IS a dinosaur. I know this is a false perception, but entrenched one in this country, outside current MAC followers. Successful companies produce what consumers demand and I believe you will all see the "floppy" issue as more important to the unskilled IMAC potential customer than it is to you guys. We'll see. TM
