Whatever is said, fools should understand (and I was once a fool) that you don't dump all your eggs in one basket. In January of last year Brinker recommended three rather speculative stocks (at least for BB) and I commented here 5 months later that they hadn't gained a penny as a group for 5 months after Brinkers rec. But they sure took off as a group during the next five months!

Let's face it. Brinker has helped a lot of people invest. Everyone who listened to his advice has made money unless they bought only one or two of his recs. He's even pulled in a lot of small fries off of the air waves and did them good. He's been plain good for the country. May he save his following from the next bear market, whatever millenium it may next occur. Of course I've been too unconventional to take any of his advice so far, but I'm having a great year in the pennystocks so far and the next gift horse will probably bring me into his camp.

As for Truman, he's always been fair and civil as long as I've been on this site. He should consider the link to BB's site a compliment. --Alan

Nope, I don't have a problem with Truman. Rather it is Truman who seems to be having some problems. He probably thinks that he owns this thread, just because he originated it! And he thinks that he can tell me not to respond to his postings! And this after he has posted the stuff on a public forum, intended to be read by one and all, including me! If I can read it, I have the right to respond to it (on the same public forum, mind you). Simple as that.

And he also seems to think that because of his "efforts", the web-mistress had disabled my access to this thread, when all that had happened was that I had gone on a vacation (where I would be lucky if I got the DJIA numbers of a couple of days ago, let alone access the internet).

However, things are better now. He has not issued any fresh threats. Instead, he is now just suggesting that I don't respond to his postings -- a gentlemanly suggestion that I have been trying to honor.
