ag, for Y2K stocks - this is a labor cost intensive business - many of these firms' ability to keep up with their earnings growth rely largely on their ability to bring in foreign programmers. as of now, all such work visas have reach its yearly quota. IMS has ceased accepting new application. new quota will not become available until Oct 1 (start of new fiscal year). to illustrate, last year is the first year the full quota (65,000) being used up by sept. this year the quota is used up now. for example, MAST has 85% of its force coming from overseas.
