Vargas. You bring up a good point. On any of the threads where the longs congregate, very rarely does anyone allow a statement of vague negativity or reality.

On three of the worst examples of mass manipulation on SI which I read from early on, and am amazed looking back on it I could have been so damn stupid, was OVIS, which jumped the crowd to JAXI which jumped the crowd over to EUTO. All are in the dumpster totally, and those stupid enough to shark feed in the frenzy were left with nothing of that particular investment. Like me in JAXI and EUTO.

In the first place, it is very, very embarrassing.

HOWEVER. Some poor guy named Michael something was on OVIS telling everyone to watch out, and why. Giving certain facts. People were typing in large letters, I guess that's considered screaming, to me its just to make the words stand out rather than go through bolding, that he was a paid shill for shorters, that he was a criminal shorter, that he was in fact leperous, disgusting, evil and should be shot.

He didn't invest in these companies, and if he did, he definitely got out and hung around and warned others. Many people warned me nicely.

Had they warned in general, they would have been attacked.

Unfortunately, the investor is over a barrel. Once invested, of course we want our stupid investment to be worth more at the end. To do this, it is necessary to have false hope and encourage others not to sell. I'm sure that Buffet and his buddies do the same thing on the phone over mega transactions. HOWEVER, here realism about a company is NOT allowed, until all have lost everything, and then we are all allowed to bad mouth.

I said something about General Magic, which did just recently make a quick fortune for all who sold, but is ticking back down for all who didn't. What goes up and comes down will probably go back up higher, though, so that's fine. But my ONE little question at the first was met by a post about "what's the problem, you been caught with your shorts down and want to drag the stock down so you can cover.?"

I'm staring at the screen with my jaw hanging open, thinking about the insanity of such a statement. And realized at that minute that you just can't post any reality on SI-- if the longs hear it, it sounds to them like personal attack on their wallet. So, anyway, it's all strange.

There needs to be an introduction thread where someone starts out that ALL WHO ENTER SI MUST READ THIS.

There is no such warning, and it seems that person after person falls into a hypnotic state over a group of eupphoric investors after they have made a few dollars and expect more. The guy who says, maybe this is a good time to sell is promptly shot.
