Yes, we would be up 28% right now for an equal $ investment in each of the 44. But if one sold the LGOVs too soon , the result would be worse. Unless you got out of another hi flier before it pulled back. Too many combinations to consider.

Why not backtest your theory? Go back to the mid March standings and then compare those standings to today's list. Keep in mind though, those were bid prices, so it won't be perfectly accurate. Also remember the few that did reverses after March 15 (BCMD, VINF) otherwise you'll think they really took off.

And all you'll have for the effort is of course this one set of circumstances. If however, you repeat the process and consistently find that the ones at the bottom come back or the ones at the top tank, you might have something. But then how do you know what the"top" or " bottom" really was.

You might be able to get a strategy similar to GaBard's however. Something like, if it doubles quick sell x%; if it tanks quick(for no reason) average down; if it channels and weakens slightly and does nothing, take the small hit and move on. But then for each case where the preceding works, I can show you a case where it wouldn't work.

Each strategy can be the "best" for a particular set of data. Just don't know.
