golfaholic-

I've been quietly adding ORCL on down days in anticipation of ORCL at least meeting expectations for their 4th Quarter.

I hear that they are pushing their people to close everything possible before quarter end... certainly nothing new... but Larry and Ray know that they need to bring this quarter in for Wall Street to actively support the company again.

With the current short interest in the 14 million share range we could see more covering in the next few weeks. I anticipate a gradual climb to around 30 and some sideways activity prior to earnings being announced on June 17th.

ORCL threw me a curve when they were wishy washy at the analysts conference. I think that their comments were taken out of context and the street used it as an alibi to tank the stock. Its unlikely that the company will say anything prior to June 17th and will let the results speak for themselves.

FWIW... I'm still looking for 40 later this year.... hopefully Uncle Larry will have grown the applications business to get the analysts excited again. I will be interested to see how much Y2K business the company reports as well...
