I have recently arrived at the same conclusion. The rally in Asian stocks over the first quarter has been a suckers rally but, until a few weeks ago, much impressed me. I held back because of Japan, uncertainty in China, and a growing spectre of banks problems here in Malaysia. I am glad I did because I am now convinced we are in for a much longer recovery process here. I still believe, however, that there are going to be significant opportunities here. Now its a question of waiting to see.
