From the London Telegraph: There have been many inquiries about how to obtain the drug Muse for the treatment of impotence. I apologise for not making it clear. Muse is a prescription-only medicine: your doctor can prescribe it on the NHS, for which the standard fee will be charged or, should the GP feel an NHS prescription is inappropriate, a private prescription can be issued, the full cost being borne by the patient (and it's not cheap). There's something of an embarrasse de riches in the impotence department at the moment with another drug, Viagra, now apparently out-selling even Prozac in America. Like all important drug discoveries, Viagra was stumbled on by accident, having originally been tested as a possible treatment for heart disease. Patients reported that it did not do much for their angina, but dramatically improved their sex life. Viagra is not yet available on the NHS, but is being prescribed privately - at œ16 a tablet - by the Well-Man Clinic in London (0171-637 2018).
