Yes, I checked out the site, downloaded the articles,
and I'll be reading them this weekend.

It's strange that Cerf, one of the father's of the
Internet (TCP/IP development I think?) actually has
a doomsday approach to the Internet. I mean, I can
see that there will be problems, but why in the world
shouldn't we be optimistic enough to think that
we can solve the up and coming problems.

I would think the microprocessor law - Moore's law -
will be more difficult to keep going once the chips
get small enough. But even with this problem, I have
quite more reason to suspect a breakthrough than
terminating technological progress altogether.

By the way, I noticed that your profile says you
have a PhD from MIT. Did you ever bump into Metcalfe
at MIT yourself? Sounds like you might possibly
have been there at same times....
