Hi there - this thread made me decide to join SI.
Last big option play was IBM when I was certain. Made real pile and got hooked on the "maybe? what if?" and all that money evaporated.
I think I want to get back on that horse. Really - I've reformed! I will only short/put/call a stock when I am sure. (Written 200 times on the blackboard. <g>)

In the meantime - a "Level II Machine" is a real time link to the exchanges. But how do you get one, and what do they cost?

BB, re: sex with wives...

Spoken like a man without children!

Just for you, I give you an example:

Tonight was "auction night" to raise money for my older son's nursery school. Each class makes an item and that item is auctioned off to the highest bidding parent.

The best way to describe it is a human cockfight.

My son's class made a small desk to which he contributed his thumb print to one of the flower decorations on it. At first my wife told me he had declined to participate because he didn't want to get his hands messy. Then, at the auction, she asked the teacher who assured her all the kids were involved. Suddenly the item was "priceless" and we had to have it. Of course so did the other parents.

What it boiled down to was really who thought their child was more "valuable". Well, we got up to $400 before I refused to go higher. Sorry, but I value a painting made by my son on a piece of copier paper more than a desk in which he was coerced into "thumbing". I think my wife probably feels the same way... but now is not the time to ask (gg).

By the way, just to show the extremes parents will go, a small wooden bench by the kindergarten class went for $2200. And to show that the men were not immune to sentimental value, in a separate silent auction, a pair of Giants-Cowboys tickets went for $450 and golf for two at a nearby country club went for $850 (gg).

But, back to your original question... being a parent means being creative with your time. One day you'll understand what that means. (gg)

P.S. What happened to that K-Mart spokesmodel you were dating?
