Something to consider when compiling you shopping list. As the devices get smaller in the direction of sub-microns, the necessity to planarize the wafers increases. Being a relatively young sector with differing processing techniques from various equipment makers, investors should be aware of CMP and the potential winners here. The current leaders in market share dominance are IPEC, SFAM and AMAT.
