thanks shalom,

Always appreciate the prayers. Things are going quite well for our family right now -- thanks be to God. I don't have any news on the move front so far. I'm hoping to get caught up on a little work here in my present job so I can start giving the job search (I need to have at least a part time job to make returning to school financially workable) the time that it needs. The one outfit that I have interviewed with won't be able to let me know anything until June. That position would be very interesting and beneficial to me professionally, I think, but I don't want to count on it at this point.

Been reading a lot out of the Proverbs and Ecclesiastes lately. On Sunday nights we are watching a video series regarding Eccl. The speaker is kind of slow -- think I'd almost just prefer to be reading aloud from the book and discussing, but we must acommodate one anothers preferences, right? Anyway, there was one very good quote in the first video.

I can't find it in Bartlett's book, but it goes something like this:

"We must utterly lose hope in all that deceitful before we can build our hope on what is true."

God forbid that any of our deepest hopes are as transitory as wealth, a new job, a move, etc.

The more I read Proverbs the more I realize that true wisdom and kindness and love are inseparable. Going to try to commit most of that wonderful 3rd chapter to heart. It's a simple message, but one that I need to have in my heart all the time. It's so easy to get distracted (for me).

I'll post more later. Got to get some things organized around here.
