I wish it were so but the way the IRS and SEC generally looks st these things is such that no serious contemplations of a merger can even be considered until October or pooling we will be quashed. As long as any earlier talks were broken off for reasonable reasons (not counting lack of pooling), everything is ok. I personally believe that LU will buy someone (any transaction would be accretive given their massive PE - if LU PE on LTM is still near 80, then LU could afford to pay as much as $100 for ASND at year end before a deal would be dilutive).

So, if all goes well, ASND consolidates in low to mid 40s for next few weeks and then heads to $50-55 at the next earnings date and on toward $60 as year end approaches. Then LU steps in with $75-80.

Only time will tell.

Good luck everyone, except Darren of course.
