**off topic** -- Capital Gains
Short term capital gains (less than 1 year) are taxed as regular income
and for a single person, the breakdown is roughly 15% below $30K, and
28% above. One of the biggest misconceptions on this tax braket thing
is that if you go slightly over into the 28% tax bracket that you have
to pay 28% on all the money -- NOT TRUE! If you make $35,000 you
would pay 15% on $30,000 and 28% on the remaining $5,000.

Of course anything held longer than 12 months is capped at 28% no matter
what, and longer than 18 months is capped at 20%.
