Xy-- I couldn't download the Salomon report of 5/8, but here are some excerpts of an extremely bullish 2 pp report. AMAT was rated Buy, high risk, and placed as a core technology holding.
"This large-cap innovator should be one of the 1st beneficiaries of the anticipated industry recovery...the stock should trade up to the $49 area within the next 6 to 9 mos."
"When is the next cycle? Don't wait for it -Buy now." "...given AMAT's product diversification, we believe (it) represents one of the lowest product risks in the industry" The article advises traders to buy on pullbacks, but investors should march in. SSB, of course, hedges and stated that it is difficult to predict the end of the downturn, but AMAT stock price will precede the upturn. The stock was added to SSB's Approved List.

Sorry I can't touch type or I would include more of this very positive report.
