Christine, you are pretty entertaining. I do believe that if someone said that God says in so and so verse that banana pudding is good, You would come out with a pretty good story why bananas have been misused and beaten down throughout history.haha You beliefs are easy to read, so this is not so much to you as to those who were wondering about promisekeepers. Understanding that becoming a promise keeper is a process and acknowledging the grace and strength available through Jesus Christ. I promise to: 1. Honor Jesus Christ through prayer, worship, and obedience to His Word, in the power of the Holy Spirit. 2. Pursue vital relationships with a few other men, understanding that I need brothers to help me keep my promises. 3. Practice spiritual, moral,ethical, and sexual purity. 4. Build strong marriages and families through love, protection, and biblical values. 5. Support the mission of my church, by honoring and praying for my pastor, and actively giving my time and resourses 6. Reach beyond any racial and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of biblical unity. 7. Influence my world, being obedient to the Great Commandment(MArk 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) Now, which of these promises is dangerous to women? I know many marriages that have not only been saved but have been strengthened by the standards of this orginization. But you know what? This org. is led by mortal men. It may be only a matter of time before someone messes up then everyone will jump on the bandwagon see, see, they messed up. That is why it is important for everyone to control their own actions and will answer for those. As I told you, I was a promisekeeper before Bill McCartney thought of this deal,so I did not go to the big regional meetings at the stadium, but rather started with the small group mens meeting to hold myself accountable here. If you think it is a detriment to women, I will let my bride speak to you. dan
