Diamond, I checked the 5 minute chart on a few of the drillers after fridays close; nice pop in volume the last 5 minutes when compared to the previous few hours. Suggests accumulation...or shorting on an up-tick. Who was that famous FNN commentator who frequently said
"All will be known in the fullness of time."

DH, FYI Insiders at Rig (approx $28m) and FGII (approx $20m) registered to sell this week. I also noticed a few other insiders at oil service companies registering to sell, all much smaller transactions. (source: www.insidertrader.com)

PS. Have been lurking for a bit. My first post.

May the force be with you.

Regards

Rick, thanks for the info on the Fidelity picks. They have really turned away from land exposure, haven't they?

By the way, I'm considering getting back into MDCO. I haven't heard about any downward earnings revisions, but the price has dropped more than 10%, so I think the market may have priced in all the bad news.

Brent futures are up a few cents, while crude futures are asked down a few cents. I suppose the merger news will provide the impetus this morning.
