Oh, I think I understand better now. What I was saying in that original post was more that I did not understand why all belief SYSTEMS could not be right, in the sense that every religion makes sense to the people who believe in it. I also have a hard time believing that only Christians, who of all the people who walked the earth are a decided minority, should end up living eternally, harps playing in the background, while people who believe in other ways are doomed to hell. That just isn't logical to me. And all of the major religions advocate pretty much the same way of living, and treating others, in their basic philosophies. There is a lot of commonality between the religions, in other words. So why shouldn't a Buddhist's life be as special as a Christian's? That is what I was talking about when I wrote that post.

Terrorism is a very complicated subject, and not really appropriate for this thread. But I emphatically was NOT saying that a terrorist's beliefs when he kills a bunch of people are right, just as a serial killer's beliefs would not be right, either. I was talking about varying religious and ethical belief systems, not the acts of individuals. You do not have to be a Christian to believe that murder, rape and a whole bunch of other acts are never right.
