Bonnie Bear,

I am not quite sure about your intention to write your post here. But I find the following comments:

Bernie: he is a committed liberal ideologue, a sore-thumb Democrat in a staunchly Republican business.

That is very much a stereotype comment. Do you really think that only Republicans care about and own US defense businesses? Please separate commercial businesses from political bashing jokes. Yes. Mr. Schwartz is a big contributor to Democrat. Does Mr. Michael Armstrong (Hughes former CEO, AT&T current CEO) contribute money also? Which party did he contribute to?

News media mentioned LOR and Hughes's sat technology transfer. But only mentioned Mr. Schwartz as a big contributor to Democrat. Why? Boeing sold airplanes to "Red" China! Is there any airplane technology transfer at all? Is the CEO an Democrat or Republican?
Does the news media lack of some targets to blame? Soviet- Evil Empire finally crashed down. A new target needs to be established?
