Read the Barrons cover story on duPont. One of its' expressed alternatives is acquisition of a small biotech. TSC or thestreet.com recently ran article on German interest in U.S. drug stocks, not clear if this also means biotechs. Todays Sunday N.Y. Times jumps on Jim Cramers concept, without any mention of the TSC, with article giving historical past acquisition and indicating more to come.

The biotech sector is IMO in play. See XOMA thread for longer thoughts on implication of the article. This is a sector thing, not a XOMA specific event. Posted there only because I did not know where else to post it. I think the article will impact your list of stocks. Let me know if see any sector or list specific move.

Believe we will see over-valuations as well as breakouts as the implications of the article are realized.

In June of 96 this stock was $12.00 , working on the same products , the street
knows of them , there's one group that has 5 million shares on hand ,they were
suppose to sell them , now I don't think they did because the shareholders voted
against the reverse split and I believe this group had a major say against the reverse
split. This stock always been hovering around $2.50-$5.00 for years until mid 95 when
it started to climb, FDA
rumors and cancer break through treatment, now the time has come and all those
previous rumors are coming true we should see the stock climb to at least the $2.00
range.I couldn't afford the stock back when it was $3.50 but I sure love it now at
these bargain basement prices and loaded up. It will take time , but when the major
players see that the product is there for real they will be back in with both feet, there
just waiting for the right time again, when the price starts to get to high for little investors
the big boys wil get in but I got a surprise for them I GOT MY SHARES alot cheaper
than them and lots of it.They increased total shares by 9 mil or so by conversion.
Take your time HYALF
slower the increase in price the better it is.
Remember from June 0f 95 TO June of 96 the price increased $7.00
so it takes time and time long term investors have.

Hi Clint,

thanks for the list. Somehow I am not very sure about the upmove that NAS had on Friday. Last half an hour rally seems a staged rally (surge in DELL, INTC, MSFT) to push the averages lot higher. They are trying to do the same today but the volume does not appear to be high. Since, I am not that nimble in trading, I am trying to enter the short side of the trades.

Later,

Suresh
