Thanks for the reply Holger. Your recommendation looks interesting, I love hidden jewels that no one else, at least over here, has ever thought of. I am getting real time Xetra quotes through WOQATS, so buying something like SIXT is feasible. My purchases for BMW and Porsche are recent due to some confusion about whether these shares could be bought in the USA. The husband of my wife's friend, a banker at Dresdner Bank, made it sound like an almost impossible task so three years ago-- when I knew the Boxster would be a hit and restore Porsche to profitability-- I ended up letting it go! Well, better late than never! In simplest terms, I am seeing Europe, and Germany in particular, as grudgingly getting in line with the entrepeneuriel model we've created--allowing the small shareholders on the continent to accrue the kind of wealth we in the USA have enjoyed. There'll be setbacks, maybe even large ones with the Euro, but in the long run, barring some political disasters, the technological innovations working their way into the world economies point to a powerful underlying uptrend that should continue for some time. good luck, fred
