Fran, just because a company reports to the SEC, that fact does not alone does not splash lily white all over it.

I have a sister, dumb as a post. Will not listen to me for a moment. She made a bloody fortune in real estate, thought that made her smart. I begged her not to buy IOM starting in May of 1996. Her broker practically demanded that she buy it or he would "resign" her account. I had IOMG from about August of 95 until late April, early May of '96 when I sold. (The new products were facing production setbacks, unlike the originals that sailed out of the factory... that's why I dumped, numbers later confirmed it.)

If you're going to buy one of these momentum beauties, you'd better know it inside and out. I continue to contend that solid companies do not face barriers to becoming reporting companies, and that good managers make it so. Short of that is totally unacceptable....there are too many other legit places to put money to work to bother with those that fall short of the simple things.
