I was told by Pelorus IR that Honeywell commands some 80% of the cockpit avionics market worldwide? Does that sound correct to you?

The stock price for Pelorus may well slide further in the near future, I suppose. What I find more interesting are the long term prospects. If the FAA is still committed to GPS, and has moved the date for beginning the changeover forward to 2000, the long term prospects should still be rather bright. Even if Pelorus-Honeywell have to share the market, by 2000 or at least by 2003 or so, Pelorus should have revenues and profits that justify a stock price of say 8 or 10. That's not a bad return at all, given a price of less than 2 today.

What do you think?

I emailed Honeywell IR with my question regarding the supply of avionics to Airbus. Here is their reply. Perhaps you could help translate by explaining which model number corresponds to the latest Airbus models.

Yes - Honeywell is a supplier of integrated cockpit avionics, including
automatic flight controls, electronic display systems and flight management
systems to Airbus. Specifically, Honeywell has a presence on the
A300-600/A310, A319/A320/A321, and A330/A340 aircraft. Additionally,
Honeywell is developing systems for the A340-500/600 aircraft.
