In a column this weekend from thestreet.com, James Cramer said the following:

" Here's a simple rule that has made me a lot of money: When numbers get cut, stocks go down; when numbers go up, stocks go up."

The following list is from recent comments made by Ben Zacks of Zacks Investment Research. These are industries with the highest percentage of upward earnings estimate revisions. I'll list the industries as coverd by the Broad Industry Bullish % and next to each group, in parenthesis, I'll place the numbers of the IBD component group that is receiving the upward estimate revisions.
-Aerospace (003, 187)
-Buildings (028)
-Business Products/Serv. (029)
-Computers (042)
-Finance (066)
-Household Goods (082)
-Insurance (090)
-Leisure (100)
-Machinery/Tools (104)
-Retailing (161, 163, 166)
-Software (043)
-Textiles (085)
-Transport-Non air (192)
-Wall Street (064, 065)

The Dorsey/Wright site has a neat little feature where you can view the stocks and the charts of the companies that make up the Broad Industry Groups. Stocks with upward earnings revisions and a good looking p&f chart can make beautiful music together.

Best to all,
Bruce
